I think Addison Fox does such a fantastic job when it comes to writing about relationships that I don’t really feel that I can say a bad word about any of her books.
They’re always so smart and well-written and witty that I can’t help but love all the ones that I’ve read. There’s a method to her writing, style and language that I can appreciate.
With that said, I’m so happy that Kate and Jason were able to get their happily ever after. But of course some heated words were exchanged, some time apart was needed, and the much needed groveling.
I loved that Jason couldn’t live without Kate. That he, in the end, didn’t care about his job or position in society more than he did for her. His feelings really ran deep and I was so glad to see it. I will admit that in the last book I did not like him. I felt like he was unlikable and a wimp, but he just hadn’t been knocked off his ass by true love.
The chemistry and attraction between him and Kate was a living breathing thing, it swept them both totally away – not just the lust part, but the not being able to go a day without seeing that person, being near them, not being able to get them out of your head.
Also, I loved it to bits when Kate finally stood up to Jason and was able to say what was on her mind. She was strong and held her own even when she was so out of her element. Major props.
All in all, I am so happy with the way things turned out in the novella. Very short, but very much worth the read.
