Emma Walker is a former writer who seems to have lost her way. Years ago she was involved in a tragic, abusive relationship and hasn’t felt like herself since. When she meets rock-god Evan Levesque, she quickly finds out that she has yet to deal with the demons of her past. Evan is determined to help her heal, but Emma isn’t sure if she can handle it.
I didn’t hate this book, but I didn’t love it as much as some other reviewers. It had a good storyline to me. I love stories about rock stars and the broken girls they love, but some aspects of this book seemed rushed to me. It could be because of the fact that Evan was away from Emma weeks at a time. It just seemed like these times were glossed over.
I also didn’t like how quickly these two fell head over heels for each other. Let’s be honest…most of the time it doesn’t happen that way, especially when one of the people is famous. Like other things in the book, it seemed rushed just to get on with the story.
