He’ll guard her body all night long.

He’ll do more than guard it, that’s for sure. Yowza.

Former Marine and bad boy, Jude Wilde along with his bothers have gone into business as private security officers. And one of their latest jobs entails protecting the lovely assistant district attorney, Libby Pruitt. But that all seems so simple, doesn’t it? It’s not. See, Jude and Libby have a history. They were in love but Jude was the one who broke things off and left… and broke Libby’s heart by doing it. So you can imagine that this isn’t just your regular security job for this Wilde boy.

Libby wants nothing to do with the guy that broke her heart all those years ago, but she has no choice but to fake a relationship with her ex in order to ensure her safety. She’s being stalked, you see, and her stalker has taken things to another level by attempting murder. He seriously stepped his game up! So Jude decides to whisk her away to a friend’s place to keep her safe. But while there things start to heat up between these two former love birds.

Libby can’t deny that there’s still something there, but she just won’t let herself be open to the possibilities of more. Although she can’t help but fall for Jude’s charms and sexy body and indulging… just a little. But this time there’s no hearts involved. Just bodies… or so they fool themselves into believing.

Overall a very steamy piece of romance suspense that was very well written and had me turning the page a lot faster than I had expected! Another very solid read from Burrows. I’m definitely looking forward to more from her.
