When I saw that there was going to be a sequel to Wrong Bed, Right Guy, I was beyond excited and anxious to get my hands on a copy. I was a fan of the first book in this series by Katee Robert, and I am most definitely a fan of this book, too.

To be honest I was thinking that it would have been Nathan’s story this time around but boy, was I mistaken. In Chasing Mrs. Right we get to see Ian, who is Elle’s – the protagonist from the first book – brother. He’s just recently returned from his second tour of active duty in Afghanistan; his first tour was in Iraq. While it was hard to be stationed over there and he had to deal with some awful, awful things, the fact that his good friend Nathan was serving with him was a soothing balm. He wasn’t quite alone as he thought that he was. But now Ian is back home and is in a bad way. He’s had to deal with his tour in Iraq alone and he’s obviously borderline PTSD, even though the severity of it hasn’t reached the heights that some of the guys that he’d served with had.

So upon arriving home after 10 years and two tours, he’s bombarded by his sister and mother who’ve decided to throw him a welcome home party. Apparently they didn’t get the memo that when a person returns home from war that they’d like some time to settle in and acclimate themselves back into a world that they haven’t been a part of for quite some time. However, Elle did have the best intentions in mind so I didn’t judge her too harshly. Their mother on the other hand? Well, she was rather insensitive and was all about keeping up appearances while at the party and didn’t really give a damn that her son was obviously not in the right mood to be sociable.

“He rubbed his hands over his face and then down his sternum, where the pressure hadn’t decreased. If anything, it was a thousand times worse, like there was an invisible gargoyle on his chest, slowly smothering him. Christ, he had to get out before he lost it. He was already having a hard time holding still. He kept reaching for where his gun should be holstered-had been holstered. Not anymore, though. Ian couldn’t survive another tour. Or rather, his body would probably survive another tour, but he wasn’t sure his sanity would.

While his mother is off being her usual self and Ian is trying to deal with being in the bar – Gabe’s bar – and having all these old high school friends surrounding him and getting to close for comfort, he’s also quietly brooding over the “thug” that his sister is engaged to. Typical brother. It was okay at first but then that got old real fast and I felt like he was being extremely overprotective in his thinking that his sister was making the same mistake again and he’d have to step in and rectify things.

After a little while he can’t take the scene anymore and decides to leave. As he’s leaving he bumps into Roxanne, literally. Roxanne is his sister’s bff but he doesn’t know that, and she doesn’t know who he is either. She’s heard stories about Elle’s brother but she’d never met him. No names are exchanged as they make their way back into the club – to a different section – in order for Ian to tend to Roxanne’s wound. It was really a little scrape but what the heck, they locked eyes and just weren’t ready to walk away, especially for Ian, who felt himself ease at Roxanne’s touch. Things heat up after he doctors her cut – while they’re still in the club, yo – and one thing leads to another and they leave to go get it on where they have privacy and won’t be arrested if they’re caught.

As soon as her feet touched the ground, he pressed her up against the car and took her mouth. God, the things the man did to her, and they’d barely gotten started.”

What should have only been a one night stand between two strangers ends up being more. Roxanne learns who he is and quickly leaves not long after. She doesn’t do relationships, she doesn’t fall in love. Anymore. After only ever ended up heartbroken and alone every time she opens herself to a guy, she decides that she’s going to keep things light and never go past just one night. Ian, however, feels that there could be more but unfortunately he doesn’t know who she is and after she up and left him like that he’s pretty pissed. You don’t piss off a hot, muscled soldier, guys. It just makes him even hotter.

Seriously, this is one hot book. Ian is interesting and I felt for him because he’s dealing with so much now that he’s home and he just wants to be free and at ease. Also, he’s sexy and knows what he wants in a woman. Roxanne stood no chance against this hulk of a man. The things he said and the things he did were just too much for her to resist.

This was one super fun read from start to finish. It was a quick read, pretty much a page-turner that I couldn’t take a break from once I started. It was witty, hilarious and also touching at time. I just had to get to the end just to see them get their possible HEA. Another great addition to the Come Undone series! I’m already excited for the next one! It’ll be Nathan’s turn next.
